Introduction to Kung Fu Internal Force and Combat Application

Learn tried and tested methods for developing internal force (what is internal force?) – Internal force allows you to spar for hours without getting out of breathe, it allows you to improve your health and increase your energy. Traditionally internal force was developed by marital artists to develop incredible striking force and mental clarity under combat conditions. As you can see it's a lot more than “hitting people so they don't get back up again”, which is why I wanted to develop it 8 years ago. Grandmaster Wong will teach you the best skills to develop your internal force. Skills that you can then use to improve all your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual activities. Success on this course will improve your work, play, sports, relationships, mental clarity and spiritual cultivation. In short it will make you better at whatever you do. Quite a claim, but generations of Shaolin practitioners have proven it.

Discover how to use Kung Fu patters for sparring – Kung Fu in general, Shaolin Kung Fu specifically, is a formidable martial art. The problem is that today most kung fu is taught only as a series of patterns. The combat side of the patterns is rarely taught. Mainly because instructors do not know 2 things. 1) The combat applications of the patterns and 2) Correct sparring methodology. Sincere martial artists who want to spar usually have to "borrow" from other martial arts like kick boxing or Taekwondo, to rectify their lack of Kung Fu combat application. Some become formidable fighters using these borrowed techniques, but they still cannot use kung fu for combat. This has resulted in the common (but erroneous) belief that Kung Fu forms cannot be used in combat and that using Kick boxing is Kung Fu. This is ridiculous. After this course you will know the combat applications of a number of Kung Fu patterns and be confident that with continued practice you can use them for sparring. If you already know Kung Fu forms this course will enable you to work out how to use them for sparring.

Experience why stances are vital for internal force and combat efficiency – you will experience for yourself why the past masters placed such importance on Zhan Zhuang (stance practice). You will be shown the skills and techniques necessary so that you can get the maximum benefits from this art in the shortest time. The simplicity, yet profound nature of this practice will astound you.

Learn the secrets of footwork and how you can be more combat efficient with correct footwork than bouncing around like a boxer – Footwork is an essential aspect of Kung Fu training but is often neglected. As a result many students and instructors sustain long term knee injuries. You will learn how to move smoothly and quickly in all directions and experience for yourself why moving in stances with correct footwork gives technical advantages when sparring. Benefit from the experience of generations of past and present Shaolin Kung Fu masters, regardless of which style you currently practice – Shaolin Kung Fu is the result of many of China's greatest martial artists, generals and warriors systematically testing and improving their arts in an environment that nurtured such evolution. Many people today mistakenly think that Shaolin was the birth place of martial arts. This simply isn't true. People had been using fighting systems for 1000's of years before Shaolin Kung Fu. What Shaolin Kung Fu represented was the first time that martial arts were institutionalised. All the hard work has been done for you. Through actual combat experience and testing these past masters discovered the very best techniques for dealing with punches, kicks, throws and locks. Take this course and you will have direct access to their discoveries.

Cross Roads at Four Gates

This was the fundamental kungfu set taught in the southern Shaolin Temple before it was razed by the Qing Army. All Shaolin disciples had to be fluent in this set before they could specialize in other sets. This important set is not well known because it was kept as a secret. The set looks simple, but its application profound, and can be applied at different levels. Some of its combat applications were depicted in the famous wall murals of the Shaolin Temple. (Please see here). As part of our on-going effort to preserve the wonders of Shaolin Kungfu, Grandmaster Wong offers this incrediable course.

Grandmaster Wong had this to say:

"This is a very special course, and it is the first time I am offering it to the public"
